Lausanne-based designers Philippe-Albert Lefebvre and Stéphane Halmaï-Voisard have created an interior design for fashion brand Études made of terrazzo.
"Being on the lookout for new materials to create new effects and atmospheres, we started to work with terrazzo craftsmen from the region of Venice two years ago." says Lefebvre & Halmaï-Voisard of Terrazzo Project.
"It is an age-old composite flooring material produced from layers of cement interspersed by chips of glass, marble, quartz, granite or other appropriate material. It provides for a perfect background to the brand's colourful and patterned garments."
"In sync with Études' colourful SS13 collection, Terrazzo Project fitted up the store in black marquina marble terrazzo and bright blue lacquered MDF held by orthogonal wooden structures inspired by construction framing."
