"Crystal Brick is a ribbed vase cut into slices that reproduces the codes of a construction game where heavy pieces of crystal are balancing on sticks of different materials (blue labradorite, copper, brass, granit, Carrare marble, painted aluminum.)" says Mathieu.

"Crystal is a luxurious and fragile material, so why not play and desecrate it? Our vase is inspired by the Memphis group and construction games. Once cut in several slices and with elements slid between each level, it acquires a whole different aspect, with distorted proportions. A series of cut out rectangular pieces of different materials allows a game to be played with this composition."
