MOCO'12: "Do we still have an appetite for all this furniture?"
by Harry / December 29, 2012

April for MOCO is dominated by the world's largest furniture fair, iSalone in Milan. This year two designers, from opposite sides of the planet, asked a pertinent question, "Do we still have an appetite for all this furniture?"

Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Pereira's project, Sapore die mobile, was a statement about the velocity of the contemporary furniture industry, how consumers are increasingly unable to digest, let alone consume the large number of new products launched into the market every year.

The Sapore die mobile waffle iron literally reduces the scale, and the number, of furniture pieces - and makes it all digestible and renewable.
