An allergy to perfume prompted Jody Kocken to find another way to wear a fragrance.

Kocken developed Perfume Tools, a series of industrial jewellery pieces that can be attached to the opening of a perfume bottle. Once in place, the jewellery absorbs the scent, then when worn, work as fragrance diffusers.

In places where the skin is most vulnerable, the precious metal is warmed up so that the scent can travel. Any skin contact with the perfumed liquid is thus avoided.

Says Kocken, "All the pieces came together automatically. It was no longer about solving problems but about designing a product that represented [me] as a designer."
