Two years ago designer Joost van Bleiswijk scratched away a typical Delft Blue glazed drawing on a plate to create a pattern that led to a collection of scratched ceramics. Now the scratch pattern will be applied to table linen and furniture.

The designer has further developed the scratching concept and will launch two new collections with the Scratch pattern during Dutch Design Week 2012.

The scratch pattern was originally created for van Bleiswijk's Poor Man's Gold project for the Zuiderzeemuseum in The Netherlands. Scratch will now be applied to table linen woven by the Dutch Textile Museum (preview up top) and a collection of archetypical furniture on which the lacquer of the furniture is scratched away.
