Kristine Five Melvær's table lamps are reminiscent of forms found in nature.

Says Melvær, "Like big drops, the shades may be associated with buds, fruits or water, while the seams in the construction are reminiscent of fibers."

"The steel structures have different heights, which contribute to the association of organic bodies."

The Bloom lamps are part of an exhibition, The State of Things ("Tingenes Tilstand"), which presents new work by a selection of Norwegian product and furniture designers from Friday August 31 to Sunday September 2, 2012.
