La Siesta is a white terracotta water pitcher, shaped like a plastic bottle, that keeps its contents cool by oozing part of its contents through its porous structure.

Created by design studio CuldeSac's Alberto Martínez in collaboration with Héctor Serrano and Raky Martínez for La Mediterranea, La Siesta is made of common Spanish white terracotta in a form that combines the ridged profile of a plastic water bottle and the traditional spout of the "botijo" earthenware jug.

"The vessel is handmade in the traditional Spanish way. The special white terracotta made with salt from the region of Agast keeps the water cold even when the sun hits it."
