Thomas Eurlings has created gradient curtains and a gradient carpet with a vertical fade that makes a room appear as though the ceiling is higher and lighter than it really is.

The gradient curtains and carpet were originally designed for the head office of Brainport Development in Eindhoven. In addition to the visual spatial effect, the curtains' silk fabric "contributes to better acoustics in the space" says Eurlings.

The curtains and carpet are a tailor made product, "which means that colors can be adjusted and the fading will be applied in the right place within the space." The curtains and carpet were preceded by a gradient wallpaper Eurlings also designed.
