Chloë McCormick and Nicholas O'Donnell-Hoare have fused the ancient skill of tapestry with the modern marvel of 3D printing to create glasses that can be customized by the user.

The frames are 3D printed with holes on almost all the surfaces so that colored wool can be woven into the frame to create a mini tapestry.

Say the designers, "Through designing the frames to be hand customised to fit the culture and surrounding in which they sit, we have embarked on a journey to design a pair of spectacles, which could change the way we connect with our belongings."
Tapestry Spectacle is one of several 3D printed works that will be exhibited in Send to Print / Print to Send at the Aram Gallery from January 13th to February 25th, 2012.
