London based designer Timothy Schreiber has created a carbon fibre version of his popular Plooop Chair (plywood loop), a chair with a unique triple loop formation originally made with plywood.

Just 5mm thick and weighing in at 2.5 kg, the lightness and fine finish of the carbon fibre version adds a hi-tech patina to the chair's signature continuous loops.

Schreiber teamed up with Fi-tech Ltd, the UK's leading aerospace and motorsports carbon fibre manufacturers, to produce the sleek version of the Plooop Chair. Says Peter Burns of Fi-tech, "We are involved in making some of the fastest and lightest cars on the planet and now we are excited to be involved in making one of the lightest and slimmest chairs ever designed."

The carbon fibre Plooop Chair will be launched at 100% Design London on September 22nd to 25th, 2011.
