h220430 design principal Satoshi Itasaka was visually inspired by the sentient, mute, red balloon in the French movie "Le Ballon Rouge" for his floating Balloon Bench and Balloon Lamp.

Although it appears to be floating on its own, in reality the bench is suspended from the ceiling by four anchors, concealed by the balloon shapes, thus creating the illusion of the bench being lifted by balloons.

The bench, made of aluminum, is "suspended" by hard plastic balloons.
