VIA Design award winner Grégoire de Lafforest has created a combination bedside table and lamp that resembles an alcove.

The advantage of a lamp like Félix is the focused task light, which can be used for reading for example, versus lighting up the entire room.

The outer shell conceals an inner shell that can be turned to close the "alcove" and minimize the light.
