Life on Record is a new collection of audio products for TDK that taps into the reminiscence trend.

The anchor in this new family of products is the 3 Speaker Boombox Audio System, "a repudiation of all that is earbud, introverted and quiet in music." The urban design taps into the reminiscence trend, harkens to the days when people shared their music in real time in the street.

The rotary dial and front facing screen allows the user to play and control music directly from storage devices including USB flash and external hard drives.

2 Speaker Boombox Audio System

In addition to powerful sound technology (ie., six-inch coaxial drivers) the boomboxes feature leather accents, touch-sensitive controls and an innovative equalizer on the front surface. Input options can connect with most audio devices as well as mix with an instrument like a guitar or microphone. This is what Ziba calls "Digilog" which combines the best of digital and analog experiences.

Ziba Design worked with Imation to design the 2011 TDK Life on Record collection, which will have its debut at CES (the annual Consumer Electronics Show in January 6-9, 2011).
