From a recent article about Dan's Barcelona show in lecool;
"The design of a beehive, the shell of a mollusk or the colours of a simple flower. In nature, everything shows an order and so it is in the work of Dan Funderburgh. As a good son of biochemistry, Dan has developed an artistic vision rooted in the order of the things. Thus, based on ancient forms and motifs of Arabic mosaics, Dan manages to combine in his works a multitude of objects from daily life, like tools and household utensils. He creates prints and wallpaper that are a tribute to the wisdom and the poetry found in the things that we do not do and that we do not know."
