We don't usually pay much attention to the back of our chairs, but Norway's Tuyo Design has fixed this by added three-dimensional detail to the back of the new Gaia chair.

Shown at Salone Satellite in Milan this past April, this bird amongst the leaves drew visitors into the Tuyo booth.

The entire chair has a lot of visual appeal, thanks to the stripes created by the alternating wool and plywood.

Tuyo is the team made up of Colombia's Maria Margarita Garcia Munzer and Norwegian Pål Jacob Jacobsen, who met while studying industrial design in Madrid.

Omen is a table with an extra leaf or sliding shelf that can be placed at various angles. One of the legs also functions as handy place to hang lighting.

Fabel is a series of shelves with a fairytale theme. The characters can be slid along their grooves to act as bookends. Shown are Little Red Riding Hood and Three Billygoats Gruff.
