Trash Me Desk Lamp by Victor Vetterlein
What came first, the desk lamp or the egg? Victor Vetterlein recycles egg cartons for the material used in his new series of Trash Me lamps.

Each lamp takes four egg cartons that are mixed with water. The resulting pulp is poured over a mold and smoothed by hand.

It takes a few days for the pieces to dry, and then each section is held together by aluminium screw posts.

The lighting component is made up of a cloth electrical cord and recyclable electrical parts.

To keep the desk lamp stable, a paper bag full of bird seed weighs down the base.

When the Trash Me lamp life cycle comes to an end, the parts can be reused or recycled.
