Once within the striking Styrofoam "walls" of Moroso's Salone del Mobile stand this year, the tone was subdued - especially on the first day when it turned out that the much-anticipated Memory chair by Tokujin Yoshioka was not ready! Thankfully it made its debut on Day 2, when visitors were able to test the ability of the technical fabric to hold shapes. In the meantime, the Ali Baba table by Marcello Jori gave people something to play with by way of folding leaves that open to reveal a gem-like tabletop.
