This Week At Art MoCo
by sabine7 / March 12, 2010

This week we discovered Hey, Hot Shot! 2009 Second Edition, a group exhibition of work by the five winners of a photography competition of the same name. Above we have Quantum Pong 3 (2006) by Jessica Eaton. See the rest of the week at Art MoCo after the jump.

Alejandro Cartagena examines the new Mexican suburbia, also as part of the Hey, Hot Shot! series.

week_toebbe.jpg
Ann Toebbe's Midwest upbringing plays an important role in the development of her aesthetics. Almost naïve, this artist's work is a mix of painting, pencils and collage.

week_yellin.jpg
What appears to be sculptures set in blocks of resin are layers of ink ... Dustin Yellin plays with point of view and expectation in a new series of work entitled Eden Disorder.

week_jacoby.jpg
Devorah Jacoby's paintings reveal her subjects both inside and out in layers of brushstrokes that take us to what seems like another world.

week_cooper.jpg
A road trip to explore the world of the snowbird results in a collection of photography, paintings and film - all inspired by Tara Cooper's grandmother and her annual sojourn down south.
