Like slender tree trunks poking out from beneath the water's surface, the Tree table's base appears to pierce the tabletop and grow through the glass.

Korean designer Woo Suk Han entangles the roots below the surface to result in an organic flow of undulating wood.

Tree is a reflection of the work Woo Suk Han does for Urban Nature, a design studio that places the emphasis on woodworking and natural elements.

As the designer states, "Design such as woodcraft is a part of my life, which I take pleasure in. When I am working, I am excited and elated that I sometimes feel to be on a different planet. I love the environment where I grew up, in the mountains, trees, fields, water, surrounded by wild life. My ideas come from pure nature."

Tree was shown at IMM Cologne 2010.
