At any furniture fair you'll find a lot of chairs. Here's the first of a few posts on the chairs we saw that got our attention at IMM Cologne this year. First up, Dustin Jessen's Alpha Chair "based on the idea that it is possible to fold sheet steel just like paper."
"A Laser cuts and perforates the 1,5mm sheet. Because of the 3-dimensional and lateral foldings the seat shell becomes stiff and gets its characteristic shape. Four oak profiles are making a (stackable) chair out of it."
