Satellight by Yi-Cong Lu
by Jaime / December 3, 2009

Satellight can be positioned at various points of one's own universe by way of a system of cords rigged by Yi-Cong Lu to change the scope of the space.

Instead of settling for a light that hangs from one central position, opt for lighting that is not static. Not only does the position of the lamp changed when the wires are pulled, but the wires themselves end up creating different patterns.

Ordinary functional lighting becomes an installation.

"Thanks to the lamp the domestic space becomes a theatrical stage for the living situations of our everyday life."
