Cultural Roots by Gionata Gatto
Food is one of the most obvious signs of cultural identity, and many of today's crowded urban areas are home to people of diverse ethnicities who are a vibrant part of their community.

What better way to make use of limited space than to create tiny, urban gardens that are a reflection of their owners' backgrounds and needs?

Gionata Gatto uses a suitcase-shaped base to grow up to 36 different plants out of the sides and top.

These mobile, soil-filled suitcases are a symbol of the mixed bag of experiences brought to the community by its many members who can cultivate both their garden and their relationships.
