As the economy encourages us to revisit our roots by embracing old skills and crafts like knitting, embroidery, sewing and weaving, the traditional wooden spinning wheel may be an aesthetic clash with our modern interiors.

Gerdiene van de Pol offers an updated version of the old-fashioned tool, in plastic and metal. Return is the name of today's spinning wheel and was a project in Design Academy Eindhoven's department of Man and Activity.
