Vase One, Two and Three by David van der Veldt
by Jaime / December 16, 2009

Cutaway views of vases and lounge chairs reveal both inner workings and inspiration at Eindhoven's Nova Gallery during Dutch Design Week.

David van der Veldt's Vases One, Two and Three start off as two-dimensional drawings composed of simple geometric shapes.

Arranging these forms brings out the vase that lies within.

David Graas' Cardboard Lounge, however, is composed of the different flat cardboard sections that interlock to create a three-dimensional seat. Graas uses
a material more commonly use as packaging to ask the question:
Is design packaging or content?
