Al Gore is the name of a work created by Atelier Ted Noten on display at Laughing Prohibited!, one of the many shows at Dutch Design Week this year. It is a backpack made of 50 kilos of acrylic with a TomTom GPS set for a slowly melting glacier in Switzerland.

"Uniqueness is not for sale, luxury is. In the world of Atelier Ted Noten, exclusivity can be bought but not acquired. Though luxurious, their work has an exclusive claim on uniqueness: the uniqueness presented by Atelier Ted Noten consists of an unavailable façade of luxury."
