The Book A Table exhibition was a display of coffee tables and artists' books held at the Rocket Gallery in Shoreditch. The coffee tables were designed exclusively for Rocket by Tomoko Azumi, Stefan Eberstadt, Asif Khan, Oliver King, Tom Lovegrove, Jean-Claude Mattrat, David Restorick, Richard Roth, Spine, Nina Tolstrup, Corinna Warm and Lars Wolter. The focus is on the coffee table because it has undergone an evolution from functional storage object to pedestal of culture often occupying a place of prestige where we display our cultural connections.
