Madame Est Servie by Aïssa Logerot
Recent ENSCI les Ateliers grad Aïssa Logerot recently created two multifunctional pieces of furniture. Madame Est Servie, above, is a mirroir cheval, a mirror that doubles as an ironing board. The other piece is XY, a chair that converts to a low table...

Tilt the ironing board and lock vertically for the mirror. "This object is a link between two consecutive actions : iron clothes and dress up." And if you're entertaining at home, combined with XY below, you could say there are four consecutive actions.

XY, "a chair which can be a low table by a simple gesture."

The ironing board looks cool but I'd never want to rely on it as my only board. Good for a guest room however. ...or for someone who never irons.
who's first ?
same concept.
have a look at :

I think the ironing board has been designed by people who don't appreciate the craft of ironing, nor the beauty of a mirror, which diminishes both. And yes, ironing is a craft?!
who's first?
answer: china is! they've already ripped it off and shipped 22 containers of them to germany
Come on, the ideas are remotely fun, but the design is seriously lacking.
I would not want that in my home.
I even doubt the ironing board can be really used, with the heat from the steam and all...
Good ideas and a good design.
Now they only need a proper development and a final touch to become a high quality products with good market prospects.
the multi-functionality is very eileen gray the chair/table should be sold at walmart for $50 I mean that as a good thing. Its great dorm room furniture. And whatever happened to the idea that modern design should be accessible to the masses
