I Would Have Followed You by Marie Torbensdatter Hermann
Marie Torbensdatter Hermann recently showed her latest ceramic work at the Royal College of Art degree show. "I am interested in the objects that we surround ourselves with in our everyday lives, their placements and our relationship with them." More after the jump.
From Marie Torbensdatter Hermann:
I am interested in the dialogue between the functional object and the ideas generated when these objects are subverted. I am hoping to create openness and an element of ambiguity, so that the viewer will bring their own history and memories to the work.

I Would Have Followed You

Liminal, "reference[s] the bowls origin, however their function is denied. It is about fullness and emptiness. After the initial identification of the objects, I hope for further contemplation towards these everyday, domestic items."
