This Week At Art MoCo

COOP is back, and so is the Devil in his many energetic forms. An exhibition of new work by COOP opens tonight at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City. See the rest of the week at Art MoCo after the jump.

When the planned community of Celebration, Florida is the inspiration for a series of paintings, the quest for perfection cannot be anything but tongue in cheek. Margaret Murphy's new work shows life as a set of traditional ceramic figurines - very fragile.

Although there is an air of confusion surrounding the characters in works by Souther Salazar, there is, at the same time, something comforting about his intricate worlds.

Things heat up when the Devil has a starring role. New work by COOP features a style that is more textured, layered and sizzling than ever before.

Scott McFarland's photography evokes images of the past, but are set in the here and now.

Taking in work by Taliaferro Jones reminds us that we tend to take the beauty of water for granted.
