Flos had an impressive number of new products at Euroluce this year, starring Philippe Starck, Marcel Wanders and Paul Cocksedge (that's his Life 01 above) among others...

Philippe Starck designed with Eugeni Quitllet the fantastic K-Ray lamp, pronounced carai the Spanish expression for wow; a brand new typology of object, intriguing, lightweight, innovative, one of the pieces on my wish list.

Marcel Wanders goes romantic with his new outdoor wall lamp Wallflower, the archetypal shape of a flower made of transparent solid material spreads out its sparkles on any architecture.

Wanders' Can Can pendant lamp is as simple as it is clever; the rounded shade lamp reveals its beauty only when looked from underneath, a draped white textile hides the light source giving the object and the emitted light a nice intimate character.

British light designer Paul Cocksedge signs Skin, an ultra-slim pendant lamp made of two sheets of metal slightly curved in a corner as if it was a piece of paper, the open vertex reveals an inner surface of vivid red and a string of LEDs.

Also from Cocksedge the innovative Life 01, which combines light, organic life and water in an original piece with the appearance of a regular crystal vase for flowers; as long as the flower lives the vase will emanate light but once the flower dries out the light will switch off... until the next fresh flower.

Patricia Urquiola Euphorbia collection of fixtures made of laser cut and bent steel felt a bit muted for the Spanish designer, we're now accustomed to more expressive and emotional products from her.

Flos also presented the LED versions of the beautiful Kelvin T lamp designed by Antonio Citterio and the Tab lamp designed by the british duo Barber & Osgerby.
