Tjugofyra by Caroline Carlsson
by sabine7 / March 9, 2009

Caroline Carlsson, a design student at Kalmar University, exhibited Tjugofyra at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. This lighting is a link between Sweden of the eighteenth century and today. It is a depiction of women's struggle, the electrical wires that cut through our forests, the ever-shrinking world and growing towns. Though we have forgotten who we are through all this development, we are still linked by the cord. The cord runs through the branches of the lighting and emerges as an acorn shaped anchor.
