Røys by Permafrost and Katharina Styren
by sabine7 / March 12, 2009

Produced by Norway's HOV Møbelindustri and designed by Permafrost and Katharina Styren, Røys is a collection that features a modular bookshelf and room divider that is also sound absorbing. Set on a slight angle, the shelving provides much visual interest by displaying books on the diagonal. Not bad work for the humble cube.

The bookshelf is called Røys, and is designed by Katharina Styren and Permafrost. :-)

That looks like a cool bookshelf, but it appears that Styren doesn't care about the books that go on the slopped part of the shelf. Any book that sits in that location will have a badly damaged spine in weeks.

Bad idea.
