Bunsen and Cone by Damian Barton
by sabine7 / November 27, 2008

Damian Barton works with a wide variety of materials for his lighting and furniture designs. The Burette Lamp makes use of fluorescent tube lighting, Bunsen uses an incandescent bulb and the Cone Lamp uses LEDs, each to different effect. The Winglet credenza is a sliver of a piece, an uplifting brushed aluminium table with a walnut veneer, but the Shroud Lounge is all polyurethane and fiberglass. The Lift Table is a simpler mix of stainless steel and glass, and the Fruit Cell is cast nylon.

Hurrah!! My brother is a chemist. I can't wait to show him these pieces. Too bad they aren't for sale. However, I bet I could put one together with very little effort. What a cool Christmas gift idea! Time to head to the University to see if I can get my hands on a bunsen burner

Thanks for the clever idea and happy holidays.
