Best MoCo Architecture This Week
by Harry / November 8, 2008

This week's picks:

+ nu architectuuratelier's Matilde renovation/ addition, a townhouse in Gent, Belgium that is traditional on the outside and thoroughly modern on the inside. Watch the video done for Belgian TV (in Dutch). Via Materialicious.

+ The Powerhouse Company's XXLong Summerhouse at Arch Daily, "Glamourous yet cost effective, the XXLong Summerhouse challenges the idea that luxurious does not necessarily means expensive. With a budget of a standard summerhouse, the XXL Summerhouse provides all the qualities of a custom made design.".

+ Gautschi Lenzin Schenker Architekten's (see Projeckte> EFH Meier) open plan, aluminum-clad Container house made for a narrow lot and a small budget at Via Judit Bellostes.

+ Sustain enters the shed business with Rapid Rooms. The maker of miniHome designed some 4 x 5 meter (16 x 13 feet, 215 square feet) modular units for Buildings for the Future of London that come "complete with an accessible bathroom, living area, bedroom, and kitchenette. It's a turnkey solution that can be installed in your backyard or wherever for almost any situation.". Via Jetson Green.

+ The Pinon House designed by Rick Sommerfeld in collaboration with Rob Pyatt, "The design duo gave an unassuming Boulder, Colorado habitat a major overhaul via some serious remodeling and add-ons.". See more at Michael Deleon Photo. Via Josh Spear.

+ SallyTV's (aka Sally Kuchar's) favorite Dwell Home Silicon Valley videos.
