Yuko Kanemura shows us that concrete does not have to be dull. Kanemura's Art-Con line of printed concrete consists of ornamental tiles and larger surfaces that function as visual interest or works of art both indoors and out. The Aqua-Con line is a range of concrete tiles that are water-reactive. Images come to life when the concrete is wet and then fade away when the water dries. Lumi-Con lets the light through, making the concrete appear less heavy. There is something special about concrete's chalky, porous surface that lends itself well to this De-Con use.
