Afroditi Krassa is launching its Once Upon a Year collection at the International Green Design Festival in Athens. This line is a range of products consumers can make by using products that are usually disposed of as rubbish. The designer is not selling the products, but giving away free instructions on how to make these items out of last year's telephone directory and Christmas tree. The 394 Yellow Pages cardholder uses a phone book trimmed to 394 pages, rolled up and popped into a metal tube. This item is also good for the display of photos. Not Just for Christmas is a coat rack with a cast concrete base. And if you don't have your own base materials, just check your neighbours' recycling bins.
