Scheisse
Norway’s Northern Lighting launches some new mood lighting: the Scheisse exploding light bulb and Moo, the softly glowing moose, a gentle trophy. The Scheisse, a large pendant, is a salute to the classic incandescent bulb, and its explosion a reflection of where that classic is going. Moo, with bulbs inside the horns as well, is made of poly-resin, which allows for transparency and can be placed indoors or out.

Here's what Trond Svendgård, one of the partners of Northern Lighting, had to say:
"Scheisse" is given its name because it describes well the feeling you get when something breaks - like when a bulb is exploding or like when the world is threatened. Maybe a bit strong of a word for some, but hope. "Good bye, lightbulb."
I think they translated the English "Shit!" but in German the meaning of "Scheisse" is more like "Fuck!". It's quite a hard word. May be with this name it is difficult to sell. Can't imagine that anybody goes in a shop and ask for the lamp. ;-)
Can't wait for the fluorescent version to come out. Wonder what they'd call that one.
i think it's an awesome lamp, specially for restaurants, public spaces and installations... as i think it looks quite big... but i would love to have it in my place as well! Nice work!
