DNA-portrait maker DNA 11 have created more entertainment value for their very personal art - the GenePak™ upgrade. The add-on product allows customers to identify specific genetic traits in their custom DNA-portraits. "With the advent of companies such as 23andMe and deCODEme that offer gene analysis services to reveal predispositions for certain diseases or health risks, DNA 11 thought it would be exciting to offer added consumer genomics products, but with a different outcome – one that provides more entertainment value.". GenePak™ isolates specific genes during the DNA-portrait lab process which identify and represent four different areas of human characteristics; "Sport", ACTN2 is a gene expressed in all muscle cells, "Brain", IGF-2 is associated with intelligence, "Love", NGF2 is one of the genes responsible for those butterflies in your stomach when you meet that special someone and "Gender" Amelogenin is often used to determine whether someone is male or female. The GenePak™ option comes with a detailed booklet that describes the lab process and helps customers understand what their art piece means and where the specific genes are located on their portrait.

I don't understand what is interesting about this DNA11 concept when anything in the world has its own DNA. Making same kind of squares out of different people DNA does not really show anything different. Big deal that once square for every different person DNA is 5 inches shifted up or down. I bet if you send your pets saliva you will get same result because its also has DNA. So here we go new concept for DNA11 guys.
I would recommend for people better do it your self. Its very simple get a microscope and start exploring DNA of the object surfaces (pens, books, paper, dirt, vegetables). You will be amaze what you can see. And don't forget get pencils and paper because you will need to draw what you find. This is real activity and its fun.
