Lladro recently presented two of the latest editions in their Re-Cyclos collection at the Future Perfect in Brooklyn. The first series, by the British design team Committee, explored the evolution of love with three sets of porcelain figurines covered in a growing sea of ceramic flowers. Other re-interpretations of Lladros' classics by Committee included Elephants Walking and The Monkey. Bodo Sperlein presented Equus, a collection of tableware that incorporated body parts from Lladro's famous horses into each design. The presentation included a tea set, butter dish, letter opener and magnifying glass.

Just bad art or bad design or both. Same thing at designBasel. So boring
to be honest i enjoy these.. the little hints of gold and the playfulness is nice..
there are lots of 'same things' out there.. which is fine.. that is the world we live in
Love I and II look like hideous malignant growths.
I like these too. The equus pieces are almost essential.
faith, I was thinking the same thing. It's a pretty idea, but I think the white backdrop for the flowers sort of mentally drives my mind towards this. It isn't the color white in the porcelain (if that's what that is) but it's the contrast or lack thereof.
I think they're lovely! Nothing is better than flowers and kisses.
The craft is amazing and I really like the poses, gestures, and colors. If I could afford any of these, I'd buy Love II and the monkey.
