The Future Perfect in Brooklyn, NY recently showcased new work from a wide array of designers including Esque, Jason Miller, Paul Loebach, Jo Meesters, 45 Kilo and Kiel Mead. Esque, a design firm specializing in handcrafted glass works, had a number of limited edition pieces in the exhibit including Animated Bookends, Birdhouse and Owl Lights. Jason Miller had a new cabinet on display, while Paul Loebach's Half Mirror was designed to be a "moment of decorative surrealism." Dutch designer Jo Meesters shared her new table called Reshaping Wood 2.0 along with a previous ceramic creation, Ornamental Inheritance. Downstairs in the basement, we found Cleanliness is next to Godliness, a collaborative project by 45 Kilo and Kiel Mead. As part of the exhibition, 45 Kilo presented a series of furniture pieces that blended CNC milling with handcrafted techniques, while Kiel Mead's accessories focused on "exploring Catholicism in a modern world."
