The Future Perfect recently exhibited the work of Sarah Cihat during New York Design Week. Collaborating with artist Michael Miller, Cihat created a series of faceted porcelain chandeliers and containers. Each piece was adorned with metalwork by Miller; in the form of delicately draped chains or metal applied directly to the ceramic surface. Also on display were sixteen fresh designs from Cihat's ongoing Fifty Cents collection of rehabilitated dishware. The exhibit also shared work from her new porcelain series, including limited edition sets of owl figurines and a one-of-a-kind owl diorama.

OMG Sarah Cihat is one of my favorites. I LOVED her stuff at Basel and at the Future Perfect. Awesome!
I like this!
Wow. Very cool and also so strange; I made a piece that was so similar this Fall at Cranbrook. Art/design ideas seem to transmit into the mass art-consciousness without folks even communicating with each other. Interesting.
