Multi-disciplinary design studio Bond. hosted a launch event at the Pomegranate Gallery last Saturday which ended up being one of the highlights of New York Design Week. The team of international designers showcased an array of new projects all aimed at being commercially applicable solutions to a variety of social, environmental and everyday design dilemmas. The exhibit had several pieces by Bond. founder Joe Doucet, including Scape, a modular seating system; Airate, a vertical wind turbine; iii, a novel concept for subscription-based packaging and a collection of eco-friendly products for Braun.
The exhibit also showcased products by other Bond. members such as Matthias Kaeding's Dot, a low emissions vehicle and Mantle, a couture line of ballistic protective attire by Philip Attar. Maria Horn shared Partisan, a collection of three dimensional puzzles encouraging non-confrontational play. Adieu, a project designed by Cressida Payavis, is a magazine made with dissipating ink that gives the journal new life as a blank notebook after a period of several months.

Scape, modular seating by Joe Doucet, is based off the idea of an urban grid.
