Milan Design Week 2008: 101% Designed in Brussels
by sabine7 / May 14, 2008

The 101% Designed in Brussels was a small exhibition in Zona Tortona with pieces that packed a lot of punch. Atelier Blink was our favorite design studio in this venue. The Brocante de salon rug that incorporates a black and white photo of flea market wares was hanging on the wall, and immediately went to the top of our favorite-rugs-of-all-time chart. The many pairs of legs of the Octopus seat was an attention-grabber, and whole piece can be wrapped even closer around anyone seated in it by using snaps found along the hems. The Rendez-Vous wallpaper seemed like typical swirls and paisleys, but a closer look revealed a more kamasutra approach. Raphael Charles had a couple of designs that were fun, like the Stars lighting, small-scale constellations, and the 33T Pouf, a stool/storage combination for the music-lover.
