Bond, led by Joe Doucet, is a new multi-disciplinary design studio that will launch during ICFF. Designers that make up this team with Doucet are Philip Attar (Philippines), Cressida Payavis (United States), Matthis Kaeding (Germany), David Yoon (Korea) and Maria Horn (Colombia). Some of the conceptual projects that will be featured include pieces for Braun’s 2009 collection and Adieu, a new arts magazine that will be printed with dissipating ink. The content will fade as it becomes outdated and the magazine will become a journal. Scape is a modular seating arrangement, but other concepts are even further reaching, such as Airate, a wind park project and Mantle, a collection of protective apparel. Another project is a subscription service where members are mailed refills of their favorite personal products. Dot is a low-emission vehicle and Partisan a puzzle that ends up either as a dove of peace or a weapon of war.
