Sorapot Unboxed
by sabine7 / April 2, 2008

By now, everyone has seen Joey Roth’s fabulous Sorapot, but the packaging may be just as worthy of our attention as the pot itself. Roth, a MoCo contributor, designed the box “with impermanence in mind.”. The combination of post-consumer recycled cardboard and molded pulp is the same material used for egg cartons. Roth focused on the cardboard’s natural imperfections and fluting as an integral part of the design and uses natural jute to fasten the package.

Joey:
Packaging looks great. Don't forget to ship me one! You know how much I love this design.

The small depth of field makes this thing look like it's three inches long.

I thought it was a pipe. Sometimes the eye tells you what you want to see...

The name would still work...
