+ Marc Sadler’s modular retail shelving for ALU is belted together and our guess is that it would look just as good at home, so stay tuned. Via Elmanco.

+ James Lear is a student at RISD’s Furniture Design department where his Fail bench was a recent project. It just dares you to take a seat.

+ The Elliptical Chair by Notus Design has been shortlisted for the upcoming MovelSul Fair in Brazil. Singly it can be used as a chair or a rocker, but in multiples it becomes a bench.

+ Doku8, a design studio from Izmir, Turkey presents the Orumbo sofa and the triangular Kesken table.

+ Chilean Claudia Correa Noe’s jewellery is often very colourful, but she obviously also has a knack with “cable ties”.

+ SNEDE is a shelving system by Reinier de Jong where an arrangement of transparent boxes stores one set of items behind a larger white shelf in front. The front module slides open to reveal the showcase behind.

One thing that I noticed with those "challenging" kinds of minimalist chairs - you rarely see any models sitting on them. I find it very hard to believe that it actually is possible. It looks like something that belongs in an art gallery, not a home.
Nice work James Lear! Brilliant as a homage to the beauty of broken things everywhere.
Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all the people who have contacted us and said all those nice things about our Elliptical Chair and our other projects and products! And demonstrate how thankful we are to MocoLoco as well!!!
Please keep the visits and remember every discussion on design matters is welcome! Thanks a lot again!
