Ever since seeing Motherbrand’s Souvenir Shop come into being at the Gladstone last year, we were dying to see what was on offer (and do some shopping) this year. One of the rooms in the Come Up To My Room event is tricked out as a souvenir shop where items of an iconic nature are reinterpreted for the present. Canadiana has never looked so good. Chet Domanski’s Energy bracelets, shown above, are made from the oil pipes that keep things going, and this was a sure souvenir winner. The Trudeau (probably Canada’s most popular prime minister) dolls were great, and easily recognizable, as were most items of a truly Canadian nature. Window shop more after the jump.

Energy Bracelets by Chet Domanski are slick and substantial. An accessory that is not just a conversation piece, but one that is sure to spark debate.

Leaves of Room 412 by Stephen Cruise. How can anyone mistake these maple leaves for anything but Canadian content?

Sprawling Notebooks by Evan Lackey. Each set of three depicts a map of urban sprawl on the cover.

I’m Not A Plastic Bag Either by Red Flag Design is made of repurposed sailcloth.

5461 by Wendy Walgate is a series of ceramic birds that represent the amount of birds killed by light pollution in Toronto last year. Excellent hostess gift.

Wedding Party Necklace by Alison Wells for Paper Snake is a one-of-a-kind piece that is hilarious and covetable.

Trudeau dolls by Ola Rahatka. Who knew he could be so soft and cuddly?

Logo Scarves by Erin McCutcheon represent the repeated logos of CN, the Bay and Expo '67.

The logo on the far left is for Canada's centennial year, not expo 67.
