The Hudson Bay Blanket is about as iconic a Canadian symbol you can get, so it was fitting to have the Covello/Reesor version on display at Radiant Dark, above a multi-purpose blanket box. Dieter Janssen provided some camouflage tents for the birds (as well as an amazing coloured Y-Light that combined fluorescent tubes with oak) and Claire Ironside created a map of Canada out of masking tape. There was a variety of designs from the Joe & Josephine collective, including a pair of Lawren Harris-inspired Arctic bookends and some felted flashlight cosies. There was more colourful lighting from Orest Tataryn and Hoodoo stools that light up from Greg Ball and Shoko Cesar. We had to smile at Todd Falkowsky’s tear-off poster that offered a range of cheerful comments for use indoors or out. How very Canadian. Radiant Dark: Part 1 here.
