One of the MoCo highlights at IDS was Arne Quinze’s presentation of his work and vision. A true Renaissance man with talents, interests and energies in a wide range of directions, this rock star of an artist, designer, architect and visionary grabs our attention and holds onto it. If Arne Quinze were not focussing on all he does, he would be found racing cars and drinking champagne. In the meantime, he shares an important philosophy with us: “Burn it all down”. He believes in putting energy, creativity and hard work into a piece, but is not afraid to burn it to the ground, as he did at Burning Man, to experience a catharsis and renewal. He tells us to that to move forward we must not be afraid to shed our need for luxury.

but then, the irreverently cavalier Mr. Quinze can AFFORD to say shit like that. hmmm...."shed yer lux". I smell a t-shirt. ....well, a burnt one anyway...
It's entertaining to say the least. ;)
With his suave accent, painters' loft hairdo and pure art-school bs, I sense a new 'enfant terrible' design genius on the horizon.
(Hey! It works magic on those Freshman chicks).
Arne has been en enfant terrible for a while now... check out http://mocoloco.com/archives/000035.php
Thank you Harry for the link. I also checked out his website.
He describes HIMSELF as an enfant terrible. How shamefully corny ;)
