Ice Jewellery
Katharina Ludwig puts the emphasis on water’s value by incorporating it into her jewellery concept. The value of body warmth is also underlined, the energy that melts the ice. Some of the pieces, like the earrings and ring, have tiny cup-like forms built in, to catch the remaining drops of water, but others allow the ice to melt directly onto the wearer. Every time the jewellery melts, it must be recreated to be worn (or born) again.

Cool! In so many ways...
This is the kind of exercise is the type of objects that make industrial design look like a game to so many people around the world. I'm sure that this was only a joke. Thanks for the laugh!
Hmmm! Such harsh tones from GullermoV...enough to get me riled and make me want to write again.
Kathy, conceptually your work is a winner!
I'm now curious to see what chuckles has to offer.
Man, the philosophical concepts inherent in this jewelry makes it too heavy for my body!
:D RATHER GO FOR GLASS INSTEAD OF ICE :D :D :D
Hi,
I'm Leonora Jakovljevic - accessories designer and a prof. on IUAV in Italy. Your works are original and very fresh. I like it very much. FYI in January 2006 Martin Margela did something similar, he created a predominantly white collection worn with ice jewellery dyed magenta, ultraviolet and lapis lazuli, designed to melt away on clothes, leaving permanent trails of bright colour behind.
best wishes
